2k students participate in sports meet | Lucknow News
Lucknow: Over 2,000 students from 150 schools participated in the Athrise Championship 2025, held at the 35 Battalion PAC in Mahanagar on Friday. Organised by Lucknow Athletics Association, the event emphasised structured officiating, athlete safety, and smooth execution. The students participated across a wide range of events, including sprint races, relay events, middle-distance runs, long jump, shot put and javelin throw. Chief guest GS Naveen Kumar, secretary, irrigation department, said sports help us in maintaining discipline in our lives, and discipline further helps in creating better citizens and society. Over 650 medals were presented, acknowledging not only athletic excellence but also perseverance, teamwork, and sportsmanship. tnnThe ceremony proved to be a moment of pride for the students, their families, and their schools.The event was attended by school leaders, experienced coaches, sports association representatives, and administrative officials.
